Kerry and Kelly are wonderful teachers with an amazing amount of energy and excitement for teaching.  Our son has been with them for three years and I have been astounded by the materials they present.  They always create new "works" for the classroom so that there is always something new and exciting for the children. 

They present things most would not consider offering to preschoolers, historic artists and photographic composition for example, in a way that the children can understand and appreciate.  They make sure the children are very well prepared to move on to either a traditional or non-traditional elementary school when the time comes.

I have been very impressed with the quality of care and education provided to my son and daughter by Kerry and Kelly Merkel.  The combination of their training, solid knowledge base, warmth, and genuine enthusiasm for working with children makes them outstanding preschool educators.

Our son Jonathan had the great privilege to spend a little over a year in Kerry’s and Kelly’s care. It was thrilling for us to see how much progress he made during this time, how much he learned and how much he developed as a person. In general he enjoyed every day with them and came home as a happy child. We could see with our own eyes how pleasant and focused they dealt with “their” children. Each and every school day we felt him to be in good and safe hands.

Kerry and Kelly did a fantastic job in familiarizing our son with the Montessori approach. When we had to leave Colorado and had him start at a new Montessori school he could jump right into his new environment without any difficulty. They also did great documenting his progress at school. When his new teacher had reviewed his portfolio she told us she feels like she knows Jonathan already.
