The Blue Mountain Montessori building was designed with our biggest hopes and desires for our students.  Built from the ground up for preschool aged children, the environment allows students to safely manipulate their surroundings with little help from adults. 

Classroom 

Under the large vaulted ceiling is the single large classroom.  During work periods, children will occupy all 4 areas of the classroom; practical life, sensorial, math, and language.  Natural light fills the room from low, child height, windows that surround the classroom. 

Student Entrance

Students at Blue Mountain Montessori enter through their very own entrance!  Children will know that this is “their” school as they enter through their child-size door.  We want parents to feel welcome too, so there is a "parent size" door as well!

Playground 

The playground is 3 times the size of the classroom!  This much room gives children the ability to move freely and interact with a variety of spaces and materials.  Elements include a tricycle loop, 900 sq/ft. sandbox, climbing boulder, play structure, large grassy area, and a large patio area.  The patio is connected to the classroom through two sets of double doors providing an extension to the classroom when weather permits.

Low Sinks and Toilets

The restrooms have been designed with appropriately sized toilets and sink fixtures.
